Beautiful coast of South Central Vietnam
The South Central Coast of Vietnam is famous for its beautiful beaches: long white sand beaches, clear blue sea and many famous tourist attractions around the world. From Ho Chi Minh City, I chose for myself the route along the coast for 4 days, through famous check-in points such as Ho Coc, Ho Tram (BRVT); Phan Thiet, Bau Trang (Binh Thuan); Phan Rang (Ninh Thuan); Vinh Hy Bay, Cam Ranh, Nha Trang (Khanh Hoa); The last point of the journey is the city of thousands of flowers, Da Lat (Lam Dong) before returning to Ho Chi Minh City.
The trip is mainly to enjoy the scenery along the way, just roam around on the transport and stop at any point that is attractive, so I did not book the hotel in advance. And I choose to travel by motorbike to be able to take the initiative in sightseeing at will. Before departure, I took the motorbike to check and maintain it carefully because the 4-day road was about 4000km.
The big tip for booking is that I always look at the itinerary map and know where I’m going next. So when I get close to the target point in the afternoon or early evening, I usually open the booking.com app and choose the Last minute mode to find suitable accommodation that is both convenient and affordable.
The convenient point for eating is that you can easily come across popular restaurants with enough choices from rice, pho, vermicelli… very familiar to Vietnamese people. As soon as you enter the urban area, you can easily choose the eateries along both sides of the road. A small tip is that you should choose restaurants that are crowded, or have many large cars stopping in front, because drivers who drive long distances always have very good restaurant experience.
Travel climate
Early summer is a great time to go for a ride along the South Central Coast of Vietnam. See breezes dissipate the sweltering heat of summer, and the torrential rains have not discouraged the adventurer’s footsteps.

Departing at 6 am, going to East-West Boulevard, passing Cat Lai ferry, driving in the direction of National Route 51 (QL51), I left HCMC to come to BRVT. Arriving in Ba Ria city, I continued to follow QL55 to Ho Coc, Ho Tram in Xuyen Moc district, BRVT.
Hồ Cốc, Hồ Tràm
You will go through the primeval forest before reaching Ho Coc, Ho Tram. In addition, if you have time, you can also visit Binh Chau Hot Springs tourist area not far away to take a mud bath, soak in the natural hot springs and accompanying services such as boiling eggs completely by spring water. There are many motels or resorts in Binh Chau, Ho Coc and Ho Tram areas from affordable to 5-star standards for those who want to stay here.
Ke Ga Lighthouse, Binh Thuan
After leaving Ho Coc, follow the road between the sand dunes on one side and the sea on the other, to reach Ke Ga Island – where the oldest lighthouse in Vietnam is located. Vietnamese people can contact to transfer to the island and cross the lighthouse by canoes of people around. (Unfortunately, due to national security issues, foreigners cannot go to the island). There are many restaurants around, but the quality is hard to beat, because all kinds of fish and seafood are fresh caught from the sea.
Lau Ong Hoang + Po Sah Inu tower (Phan Thiet)
Located in the heart of Phan Thiet city, Lau Ong Hoang and Po Sah Inu Tower are a cluster of cultural attractions. Here, you can admire the architecture of the ancients and see the city of Phan Thiet from above. Lau Ong Hoang was originally a villa built by Ferdinand d’Orléans, Duke De Montpensier, grandson of King Louis-Philippe I of France, spending 82,000 Indochinese silver coins to build, but so far it has been destroyed and only remains. are ruins. This place is also associated with the poet Han Mac Tu during his visit to Phan Thiet. Today, the name “Lau Ong Hoang” is also often referred to the cemetery area of Phan Thiet city. Po Sah Inu Tower is a group of Khmer temple ruins. This group of towers has Hoa Lai architectural style – one of the ancient art styles of Champa. The entrance ticket price is $0.44/person.
